Bluestone National Scenic River (BLUE)
This park might be the hardest park unit to get to on the east coast. I really worked for it! the river is nestled tightly between Pipestem State Park and Bluestone State Park in West Virginia. Access to the scenic river is said to be through these two parks. Bluestone NSR does not have any buildings or a physical address but after some conversations with locals and visiting these state parks I was given some directions to a parking lot with an NPS arrowhead. Once I arrived, I found myself being the only one there and 10 miles of trails to explore along the river. Such an adventure getting here, I am looking forward to future visits here. This is my 109th NPS unit visit.
